a lot of apples and pears for under $3

Not really... BUT you know how you get hooked on your most favourite set of 6 of set of 8 mugs and one breaks or gets a slight crack and your most prized tea or coffee set doesn't feel the same anymore. Well I grabbed a set of eight mugs today for under $3. That's right under $3. So if one breaks or gets a crack I guess I won't feel so bad as my $$$ investment was low.

The apples and pears are not necessarily my 'cup of tea' but heck a new set none-the-less.

My tea tastes just as great. Except when I am feeling very regal and have a sip from my Royal Albert (which I must use more often).

stairs to success and inspiration

... these stairs might only lead to someone's house (that we don't know) and that my daughter decided to rest on one day but I am sure you'll agree that success comes in all shapes and sizes, it is as high as you want to make it. I simply love this shot and this little lady is one of my many inspirations.

I'm not sitting in the backseat but the driver's seat for success, inspiration and fun. In any order with the end game being keeping it simple.

Local Queensland hospitals are in need of hats for the Premature babies.

My mum has made these devine gems as part of the "Premmie Babies Knit A Hat" donation. Promoted by Creative Knitting magazine. Why? This is so close to our heart is that I was a 'premmie'. 3% chance of survival (back in 1968) and weight in at just over 2lbs 11ozs. Now in my 40's I think it's damn fine that I made. it.

I'll be knitting one or two soon.... and will pop up for all to see.

look what my mum found

Today my mum ventured to Whittard Tea. Look what she saw... this cool Royal Albert trio. Devine! An expensive trio and very 'bling bling gold'. I can't believe the cost - a HUGE $95. I am so glad that she just walked out with the teabag squeezer that she was after and some tea leaves. BUT there was an offer from Santa who happened to be standing nearby. Hope I'm a good girl for the rest of the year.

royalty move over

The wonderful thing about life is that friendships hold everything together. This trio is by Queen Anne. a huge toast to royalty with this set and thanks to the most devine lady in the world (Nic) who gave it to me. Hugs to her everyday. 'til next cuppa. xo p

a beautiful cup of tea

A sensational cup of tea from my 'new' Royal Albert trio. Thank you 'Lady Carlyle'. A hot ebay find. My new quest is to find another trio to add to my 'noah's ark" style tea party set. I wish to collect at least two of the Royal Albert Lady style of china. I just loved this cup of tea today.  'til next time xo p

a delightful package

Not often am I surprised but today definitely. I received my ebay package from the UK today and it was wrapped so beautifully. It was a parcel full of Royal Albert china. This included a cup trio, milk jug and cake plate. I am so chuffed. Even down to the delightful sticker and the delicate wrapping. Worth every part of the purchase.

 

This adds to my Royal Albert 'Lady Hamilton range. Very cute, very girlie and of course very very flowery. When everything was unwrapped I simply had to put on my tablecloth and you guessed I took another photo. (Georgina would be proud).

When bidding on my cup trio I was not aware that Royal Albert obviously made slightly different styles of cups in the same range. The cup I already have is a little short in height and has flowers on the inside bottom my new set is slightly more cone shaped. There must be differing production runs like any fine manufacturered product. This is now something I wish to investigate further. Talk about another project ot add to the mix. Can't wait to have my next tea party.

I do like this cake plate and see myself putting a lot of lovely treats on this. Now to pull out my grandmother's silver teapot and buy some tea from T2 and I'm set.

princess magic out of the storage box

My eldest daughter drew this picture in the front of a new activity book we found in our storage 'stash'. My garage is my storage spot and it's got a lot in it. A great disney activity book and I wish I knew where I purchased it. It's a good one.

On the inside front cover you were asked to draw a picture of yourself as a princess. This is what my #1 girl did. How cool. I am glad that I am now taking photos of some of these things as my time capsule is getting to big too mention and we are only have kids under 5.

I have to start on my creative space and put some more on here.
